Talk
Seven Things I’ve Learnt as an Author . . .
As a writer of both contemporary realism and science fiction I explore where ideas come from and why different genres trend. I speak about the inspiration for my books, answering such questions as: how would you survive on a desert island? Why do aliens matter?
I talk about the publishing process – how long does it take from idea to finished book? Do you ever get to choose your own book cover?
Finally, I share my survival toolkit for would-be writers and anyone wishing to have a career in the creative industry.
