About Silver
THEIR LOVE WILL SET THE STARS ALIGHT . . .
Silver has been trained since birth for her mission: collect data on the humans to test if Earth is viable for her home ship, Charybdis, to colonise. The only rules are that she must feed back the data she collects to the ship, and at all times follow the Mantra: To touch is agony. To feel is pain.
So when Silver inhabits the body of a young woman and infiltrates the house she is staying in, she must learn to pass as a human without revealing her true identity. But she isn’t prepared for how the humans will get under her skin. And she definitely isn’t prepared for Finch, the boy she starts to fall for. Especially when he touches her – and it doesn’t hurt.
It is not how Charybdis said it would be.
Have they been lying all along?
Conflicted by the war between her growing feelings for Finch and her allegiance to her ship, Silver must decide who to stand by and who to betray.

About the Author
Hello
I’m Olivia Levez, the author of three critically acclaimed young adult (YA) novels: Silver, The Island, and The Circus. Each of these books explores themes of transformation, survival, and being an outsider.
My science-fiction romance Silver was named The Bookseller’s Book of the Month and earned a glowing 5-star rating from The Telegraph. My debut YA novel, The Island, received a starred review in Publishers Weekly, and The Circus was hailed by Kirkus Reviews as ‘beautiful and unforgettable’.
As an author, I am interested in creating protagonists who evolve and face challenges. I love exploring how characters cope in extraordinary circumstances, and I am drawn to writing from an outsider’s perspective.
In addition to my writing, I visit schools for World Book Day and literacy-enrichment workshops, engaging with students about the power of storytelling. I also offer editing advice and support to fellow writers, helping them hone their manuscripts and achieve their creative goals.
Based in the Midlands, I am lucky to have the Malvern Hills on my doorstep, where a starry night and a snowy day sparked the idea for Silver—a tale of an alien girl landing in a strange new world.
When I am not writing, I love dogs, yoga and trail running. Being in nature fuels my creativity and keeps me grounded as a writer and storyteller.
The Island
‘There were friends once, but they melted away. Things are different now I am a MONSTER’
Frances is alone. Cast away on a small island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, she has to find water, food and shelter. But survival is hard. Especially when she is haunted by memories of the things that she did before, the things that made her a monster. Pushed to the limit in extreme conditions, she battles to come to terms with her past, and find a future worth fighting for.
This is a gripping and thought-provoking story about one girl’s journey to become the person she believes she can be.
The Circus
Willow has everything: a rich daddy, a pony and a place at a prestigious boarding school. Everything except the one thing she really wants: a father who cares enough to find her when she runs away from home.
On the eve of her father’s wedding, Willow runs again into the unknown. Her mother was a circus performer and Willow longs to follow in her footsteps. But when all of her money is stolen and her only friend, a street performer called Suz, betrays her, Willow is left penniless and alone. So begins a gripping, exhilarating journey. Will Willow ever make it to the big top and find a place she can truly call home?

‘This is a poignantly written love story about what it means to be human […] There are moments of humour, drama, and even jeopardy, and the exquisite ending, which shows how Silver has learned what it is to be really alive, will make readers cry.’
