I'm a write mentor!

 BIO
I was lucky enough to be a Write Mentor author in its first year, and was a judge for their Children’s Novel Award 2019. As well as being the author of two critically acclaimed YA books, The Island and The Circus, I'm currently working on my third children’s novel, as well as a thriller for adults. I have taught English for many years at secondary school, and have run many creative writing workshops. When I'm not teaching and writing, I work as a freelance editor, advising on both partial and complete manuscripts.
I would love to read your sample - here's what I'm looking for:
- I'd like to mentor upper MG and YA, in particular, futuristic/dystopian/Black Mirror-esque, Sci-fi twist, apocalyptic, contemporary, thriller, horror, fairy-tale, gothic.
- What I'm offering - a full manuscript structural edit with marked up notes a 1 page report and Skype chat/meet-up, followed by a re-read with line-edits. Finally, advice on agent submission. 
- What I'm looking for in a mentee - someone whose writing I love and who is open to feedback.
